If it is not actually over heating, then if the smell is outside the car, look for coolant leaks around the head and the thermostat cover. Inside the car could be a leaking heater coil.
is car thermostat necessary in a tropicalize car?
the thermostat is usually located were the top radiator hose connects to the eng
A thermostat always looks like a small rubber valve with a spring. It is inside the thermostat housing on the top of the engine (top coolant hose exit)
Replacing a thermostat in a car is easily done. A 2000 Chrysler is done like any other car. You open the hood, and locate the thermostat near where you put water in, and then you just remove it with a wash cloth.
the thermostat is located under the car in the front on the passanger side. look there and you will see the radiator hose leading to it.
look just beyond the thermostat. put your hand on the thermostat standing in front of the car, then extend your fingers. your fingernails should be touching it.
Take your thermostat out and put everything back together, run your car without a thermostat... If your car no longer overheats, replace your thermostat.
You can uninstall thermostat and install new thermost under air filter and look coolant hose by sensor gang. I did my own car.
It looks kind of like a UFO, only 2 inches wide.
