May need a valve job or, the lifters might need adjusting.
I have heard that lifter noise is a common problem.
From day one I have put in slick 50 every 3 oil changes.
I put 5w-20w synthetic oil in every time. Also Lucas oil treatment, when I don't put in the slick 50. Runs quite as a baby. 362K and still going strong.
Where would the knock sensor be located on a 2004 mazda 6?
what causes the knock sensor code on a 2002 Kia Spectra. Thank You sreddish@neo.rr.com
You purchase a new one for $69 and replace it.
Underneath each side of the exhaust manifolds.
It is a nonservicable part, just replace it.
because their is no doorbell
You being a pervert.
I don't think it has a knock sensor ( I know that the 4.0 liter V6 engine in my 1995 Ford Explorer doesn't have a knock sensor )

I truly have tried plenty of times and I don't think that you can.
And engine knock is normally caused but I worn crankshaft bearing or rod bearing.
Most knock sensors are located in the block on the firewall side. Should be the only sensor with two wires in the block. It will also have a camshaft position sensor as well. Hope that helps. I am not educated on Mazda engines.
