Try letting the reset knob snap back when you release it. Do it a couple of times. Sometimes the mechanism doesn't re-engage and you have to work the reset buttom a few times.
If your speed sensor is not At Fault, then the problem lies within the electronics of the speedometer iteslf. Buying a used one will not gaurantee the problem will be resolved or will not return. I'm an electonic Technologist and repair this type of fault regularly. email me for more information.

It should be on the back of the transmission, almost directly under the throttle body. If you want to get rid of it, just unplug it, but your speedometer and odometer will stop working.
The speedometer is a part that commonly fails on the 1994-1997 Accord. Buy a used cluster on eBay for about $80 from a reputable seller, and swap it yourself. The wiring on your car is probably fine, as well as the speed sensor on the transmission.

If the odometer has failed, does the speedometer still work? They are both driven by a cable which spins. If the speedometer is still working, than the odometer has jammed. Probably a dealer fix.
