You'll probably have to replace the speed sensor. It's on the transmission closer to the tailshaft, on the lower passenger side. It looks like a little cylinder with a single bolt holding it into the trans. It has a couple wires coming out of it with a plastic clamp to hold them close to the sensor. The HICAS needs the signal to know the speed it's supposed to work at, and the speedo does, too. However, the sensor looks like a pain to pull out. I just went to try to do mine today, (1990 tt m/t) and it looks like I'll have to drop the exhaust pipe on my passenger side just to get to it because the space is tight and the sensor is long. I hope I won't have to drop the trans.

It depends on whether or not he corrects the error before he swears before a judge or magistrate that the citation is correct. If he swears that you were speeding on I 65, and you were speeding on I 95, then it is not valid. If he fixes it on his copy and then swears to it, then it doesn't matter what your copy says.
