The speedometer cable hooks up to the engine in a Honda Accord. This is how the vehicle is able to calculate speed.
When it quits working and the cable isn't broken.
The speedometer on a 1996 Honda Accord EX is the pulse variety. It is likely that the teeth on the speedometer gear are not meshing properly.

It is possible for a speedometer to go on and off on a 1995 Honda Accord because the parts are worn out. A new speedometer mechanism may be necessary. Also, check to see if there are any loose parts. Rain and debris from a roadway can cause damage to the speedometer cable.
They will fit but your speedometer will be off.
Mine is located next to the speedometer needle when it is pointed at zero. Little knob that looks the same as the trip meter reset. I have the EX trim package but would suspect all levels would be located the same place.
The speed meter or speedometer on a 1999 Honda Accord will stop working if the cable has been damaged or the sending unit fails. The transmission constantly provides information to computer and speedometer regard the speed the vehicle is moving.
I'm not too sure about the 1994 Honda accord because i don't have one myself. However, in most cars the speedometer sensor is located on the transmission, close to the point of engagement between the transmission and the front axle. The speedometer is attached tho the transmission with bolt(s) depending on the car.
