A number of cars have been fitted with the Honda B16A engine including the Acura, CR-X and Civic. The first time the engine was used in a vehicle was in 1989 when it was introduced to the European market in the CR-X.
Honda Manual Transmission Fluid is recommended for a 5-speed manual B16A motor. Amsoil Manual Transmission Fluid will also work in a 5-speed manual B16A motor.

I my self have a 91' civic hatchback with b16a with type r heads and cams with a garret turbo 40psi whp 500 to the rear wheels. the weight is 1642 pounds with me in it i weigh 180 do then math
the best stock engine you could swap in there would be a k20a type r engine. probably cost you about $10,000 to do it. I'm assuming you probably aren't looking for something that expensive. if you want a decently quick car you're either going to have to boost the d-series you have in there. or you could swap to a b-series engine, which i would recommend. on the cheaper end you could do an ls swap with a dohc non-vtec b18b1, or even a crv b20b. You can get one of these for a few hundred bucks. its about equivalent in quickness to a 1st gen jdm b16a or usdm b16a2. if you want something quicker from there you could go with a usdm gsr b18c1, or jdm gsr b18c swap. long block you can get for about $1,700 minus trans. with trans as a complete changeover its about a grand more. more than that still is a b16b jdm ek type r engine. its basically a destroked usdm type r. very nice engine, and a little cheaper then a type r. then finally the most expensive b-series engine you could get i a b18c5, or jdm b18c type r. amazing engine but over $4,000 for just the engine alone. depends on which year engine you get though. i believe 98+ spec are more.
no
In my opinion it would be the b16a out of the civic si or the k20 out of an rsx-s
