A S14 is found only in E30 M3s, and they are hard to source. They can range from $4,000 for an engine that needs a complete rebuild, to over $10,000 for a built engine. Always run a compression check on the engine before you buy it. The right compression is from 165 to 200.
If your car is an e30 than the swap is relatively easy. If your car is an e36 then its is more involved, needing a custom oil pan (due to the standard s14 pan hitting the e36s' cross member) and a custom driveshaft.
yes, and if its turbo in the US, its been modded or gotten an engine swap.
The s13 and s14 alternators are different. The binding post is located on the side of the s14 and on the back of the s13 alternator. The alternators can be interchanged with minimal customizing to the wire that attatches to the binding post.
