I have an 88 rx7 and the solution i found to the problem was to remove the fuel injector fuse. Then turn let the engine turn over 5 times, wait a second and do it again. This is of course not good for your battery, or your engine but i have found it to work everytime. The simplest wasy to prevent this from happening is make sure u run your car for a cople minutes even if u r just moving it from the driveway.
Coolant temp sensor, or leaky injectors, bad Ecu, weak battery
it could be 2 things. 1. your engine has low compression, 2. a leaky injector is flooding your car.
No. 88 is a series 4 2nd gen and 91 is a series 5 2nd gen.
