AUTOMATIC
1a. Place the drain pan under the transaxle and remove the transaxle drain plug. 1b. Remove all but 2 [at opposite corners] of the pan retaining bolts. 2. Carefully pry the transaxle pan loose with a screwdriver. Dont damage the pan or transaxle gasket surface or leaks could develop. 3. Remove the pan and gasket. Carfully clean gasket surface of the transaxle to remove all traces of the old gasket and sealant. 4. Drain any remaining fluid from the transaxle pan, clean it with solvent and dry it thoroughly. Make sure to install the magnets in their original postions (indentations) in the pan. 5. Remove the retaining bolts and detach the old filter from transaxle. 6. Install new filter and tighten the bolts. 7. Make sure the gasket surface on the transaxle pan is clean, then install a new gasket. Put the pan in place against the transaxle and install the bolts [finger tight]. It's easier to first install 2 bolts at opposite corners to hold the pan in place for you. Working around the pan, tighten each bolt a little at a time until the final torque figure listed is reached 84-96 in-lbs dont over tighten bolts. Then reinstall drain plug and tighten to 25-32. 8. Install new fluid. With engine running, cycle gear selector through all positions a few times to circulate fluid throughout system. Then check fluid level to confirm an adequate refill.
MANUAL
1. After vehicle has been driven to warm fluid raise the vehicle and place on jackstands. Place the drain pan under transaxle, remove the drain plug and allow the old fluid to drain into the pan. 2. Clean threads on drain plug and hole, and reinstall the drain plug securely. 3. Add new fluid through the filler hole until it begins to run out of the filler hole. Install the check/fill plug and tighten it securley.

It's a manual transmission, it doesn't need fluid at all.
I've yet to change mine, but I hear that you specifically need to get Hyundai brand tranny fluid. Don't use generic.
Add fluid where the dipstick is. Use a small funnel.
