How do you fix a rear wheel bearing for a Lexus ls400
When you have the front end aligned the mechanic should align the steering wheel also. This is so the steering wheel is positioned straight when you're driving straight down the road.
Low on steering pump fluid or a lose belt
take it back they didn't align it right
Changing a wheel bearing is almost exactly the same process for every vehicle. There are detailed instructions to do this answered in another question:How_do_you_change_a_wheel_bearing
The air pump on the 1992 Lexus LS400 is located on the passenger side front of the engine compartment under the air filter housing. You also have to remove the right front tire and plastic wheel well inner cover to get to it and the valve for the front shocks.
Yes, I am sure some will not sure if All will. Case in point: My buddy has a 1991 LS400 and got a flat. I have a 1999 GS400 and the wheel bolted right up!
Disconnect battery and wait at least for 30sec. Loosen two hex bolts from behind st wheel to release airbag, disconnect wiring, unscrew centre bolt and pull wheel from its position. Note: before removing: align steering wheel strait and mark position on shaft then will be easier to align on replacement.
Yes, there is a D-pad on the left hand side of the steering wheel just for such an action.
With a $5,000.00 piece of equipment. Take it to an alignment shop and dont pay more than $100. Actually call a couple shops and compare prices... It is not your steering wheel out of alignment but you wheels...
