It's easier than you think it is!
1) Remove two torx 20 screws from under the "conversation mirror" at the rear of the console. A torx 15 tool will work.
2) Pull the front of the console straight down, towards the floor of the car. There are two spring clips on posts that hold the front of the console in place. It will take a fair amount of force to pull it down. Just wiggle and pull straight down, and it will pop off.
That's it!
Remove the two Torx screws in the little mirrored compartment pull the whole unit straight down there's two metal spring type clips in the back that need to pop out, they wont break but it does take some Force can you disconnect the electrical connections should be three different clips and then replace the unit
