To set the injector pump timing on a Mazda T3500, you will need to locate the timing marks on the injection pump housing and the engine flywheel. Rotate the engine to the top dead center (TDC) position for the number one cylinder. Align the timing marks on the injection pump with the corresponding marks on the engine flywheel. Use a dial gauge to ensure precise alignment, and tighten the pump mounting bolts once the timing is set correctly.

transfers fuel to injector pump from tank
I think you may have to change your spark plugs, wires or distributor cap. I damaged a spark plug wire yesterday while channgeing plugs and my truck did the same thing you describe. I don't agree with the above answer, as far as I know the Mazda B2500 is a diesel engine and therefore does not have any of the above mentioned things. Mostly likely things that could be causing jolts climbing a hill are the diesel fuel filter is dirty, you got dirt in the tank or the injector pump or fuel injector need to be serviced.
in appropriate injector's, clocked injector nozzle's, injector pump diaphram ,(due to dirt fuel)
Lift pump failing and then taking out the injector pump
The fuel pump is part of the injector pump, althoug many diesel vehicles have a separate lift pump in the fuel tank as well.
