This is illegal to do. You would have to ship the odometer to the manufacturer to have this done. Doubtful they would do this as it is also illegal for them to do this, too. Your only recourse is to buy a new one with zero miles on it.
There is a way to do it through the car's computer, depending upon model.
It is illegal, but sometimes there are legal reasons to want an odometer re-calibrated, there are companies that you can send the odometer to, to do this. There is also software / tools for sale on the internet that you can buy and do yourself, sometimes this involves taking out and opening the instrument cluster and making various electronic connections, bit some cars can be done by connecting to the cars on-board diagnostic plug - provided all correct tools to do so are available.
NOT! It is illegal to tamper with an odometer.
Mmmmmm........you don't. It's illegal.
there is no way to roll back miles, its a pemenent memory even going in reverse will add miles to your bmw. be sides its illegal to tamper with any vehicle milage.
The speedometer sensor relates back to or through the ECM and to the cluster in digital or analog out put.
My 89Chevrolet astro van digital speedometer stop working. How do I fix it
a 95 harley does not use a digital speedometer. If urs has one, it is probably aftermarket modificiation.
If the speedometer works, but the odometer is not working, there could be a fuse blown if the odometer is digital. If the odometer is not digital, then a gear is broken in the speedometer cable. It should be replaced.
check the fuse
check the wiring to the speedometer. Check the sending unit as well. If the problem is internal then the speedometer will have to be replaced.
You cannot. The best thing to do is fit an additional digital speedometer.
it's in the dash, the speedometer cable runs the speedometer and it connects to the back of the speedometer and it runs down to the back of the transmission case.
Just pray for it to come back on mine always does. Also stop slamming on the dashboard.
