Because first its 2009 and not everyone is lucky enough to have the owners manual to a 6 year old car. Second...I have a 2003 TL and it DOES NOT say how to do this...it refers you to the dealer. Second...if they wanted to use references as opposed to WIKIanswers...the site wouldn't be here. so heres my ANSWER You reset the maintenance required light With the car off press and hold the SELECT and RESET buttons while you put the key in the second stage (key on, one click past accessory) and continue holding for 20 seconds or until light extinguishes. Turn the key off and back on to verify that it worked.
