How do you replace the tail light assy on a 2005 Toyota Sienna?

To replace the portion of the tail-light assembly on the body of the van (not on the tail-gate itself), lift the tail-gate, remove the two 10mm hex bolts holding the assembly, then use a screw-driver to prise the forward part of the assembly outwards away from the side panel (perpendicular direction to the body side-panel). You will have to exert some force, so take care not to break the plastic. There are two metal posts embedded in the plastic assembly that lock into rubber sockets on the body panel, and with enough force in the proper direction, will pop out. To detach the lamp-holder assembly inside, look for the press-release tab just below the top bulb position, press and release the holder assembly. You can then replace the bulb(s), and reassemble everything back in the reverse order. The top bulb #7506-21W, and the lower one is #7528-21/5W dual filament. Jerry
