1. Start with the removal of the coil packs and plugs. 2. Next remove the valve cover. 3. Remove upper timing cover. You may need to remove the motor mount assembly also. 4. Remove exhaust manifold from engine. This includes separating manifold from the downtube on your exhaust. Note..manifold will be easy to remove once the head comes off. 5. Unplug any electrical connections attached to the head 6. Remove upper radiator hose from the thermostat 7. Reomve the fuel rail from the intake 8. Remove the intake. Removal of the fuel rail makes it easier to get to the intake bolts. 9. Remove camshaft pulleys. Use paint to mark the belt and pulleys with a line. This will help align your pulleys when you re-assemble 10. Remove the eight head bolts. These are tight!! 11. Now your head comes off Total average time is approximately 4 hours This is an involved project and you need above average mechanical skills. Be sure you have all the torque settings and head bolt pattern before starting
