The 1994 -1996 Toyota Camry has a flexible joint inline with the Rear Catalytic Converter. (Yes two converters!) The Flex joint develops a leak and then the vehicle sounds like a tank driving down the road. The Flex joint is welded onto the pipe so it is not replaceable. Fortunately the cost for the entire pipe with the converter is very reasonably priced! Replacing the entire Converter pipe will have the vehicle back on the road in very little time.
Our Toyota dealer has estimated to be around $300.
No you don't. They can cut the pipe and weld the flex pipe into place...otherwise it will get VERY costly
You get a catalitic converter with flex pipe on ebay.com for arround $300 and labor will at least one hour (depends on region). You are facing a bill about ~$400.
If its just the Flex pipe replacement it should not cost more than $120 with tax. I recently had mine replaced. -Gokul
If you do it by yourself, it's about $50-100. If you ask your shop to do it for you it's about $200 and more.
The dealer quotes $1700 for the whole assembly. A non Toyota shop can generally weld a new one in for $200 or less
A GOOD MUFFLER SHOP LIKE MEINEKE CAN CUT OUT THE BAD SECTION OF FLEX PIPE AND WELD IN A NEW ONE. USUALLY TH PIPE IS AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN NEW.
The Toyota Camry has been in production for a number of years. Identifying the OE recommended oil and viscosity is dependent on production year and type of use the engine is subject to, and its operating environment (summer, arctic, etc). The 2013 Toyota Camry with the 2.5L 4-cylinder options (both gasoline and Flex-Fuel) can use API rated 0W20 and 5W20 year round.
i need to replace the flex shaft in my weedeater. how do i do it?
The 2004 Toyota Camry has the most common hook-end wiper arms. See sources and related links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.
remove engine or transmission replace flex plate (flywheel).
Yes, there is..
