its easiest to bring it in because you have to take the door pannel off. (without breaking anything.) its a real pain sometimes.
In my sons 1993 300zx there is an electric accuator located behind the door handle, his was broken, need to remove door panel to acsess. In my 300zx, there are 2 cheap plastic black pieces connecting a set of 2 metal rods (one going to the back of the door and one going into the door handle/power) You have to disassemble the door to get to it, try replacing that if it's broken or not even there.

If you mean the door lock cylinder...remove the interior door panel. On the back of the door handle there are 2 10mm hex bolts. To the outer edge of the door there is an access hole. With an extension, remove the 10mm bolt that holds the lock cylinder and door handle together. Reach in and push the nylon retainer that holds the rod into the cylinder (yellow on driver side, white on passenger side) and remove it. A slight twist of the cylinder will remove it from the door handle. Replace in reverse order.
You can replace the locking cylinder, on your 1994 Ford Thunderbird, by removing the inside door panel. The locking mechanism will be visible with the door panel removed.
If it's a Euro Cylinder just unscrew the screw holding it in place, turn the key slightly until you can pull the cylinder out. Put the new cylinder in and replace the screw to hold it in place.
no only up to a 1990 model
The 1990 Nissan interior panels are held in place with eight retaining clips. Pry outward on each retaining clip to remove the interior door panels.
I had to replace the window motor on my 1996 300zx. I guanantee you that it is best to have it done. Even the guys at Specialty Z had to be very careful not to let the gears slip or it is incredibly difficult to get them back in place as you only have a small hole in the door panel to work through. My opinion, don't try it yourself. Find someone who only works on Z cars and take it to them.
no, the 2+2 has a longer door.
