* Disconnect the negative battery cable * Set the parking brake and block the rear wheels.Raise the front of the car and support it securely on jackstands * Drain the cooling system if coolant is relatively new save it * Disconnect the automatic transmission cooler lines from the radiator if equipped. Use a drip pan to catch spilled fluid and plug the lines and fittinings * Loosen the hose clamps then detach the radiator hoses from the radiator.Also disconnect the small hose to the coolant reservoir * Remove the engine cooling fan assembly * Unbolt the small brackets that attach the top of the radiator to the radiator support * Carefully lift out the radiator out of the engine compartment

Almost all thermostats are located at the motor where the top radiator hose connects to the motor. Drain the coolant, remove the 2 bolts in the thermostat housing, replace the thermostat, and replace the housing and refill the radiator.
