If the clutch is slipping or not going into gear or specific gears, replacing the clutch assembly, and throw out bearing is a good idea. This task requires removing the transmission from the truck and takes several hours to do.I would suggest if you are considering doing this you should be mechanically inclined due to the time, knowledge it requires to do this correctly.Short if you do not have the time or tools etc, take it to a shop for a reasonable cost.I have done this task and it is pretty simple and using a chiltons or haynes manual helps alot. But unless you do have the mechanics go the shop route to save the headache or problems.
