This is actually fairly easy to do.
There are 4 bolts that hold the motor to the firewall. Remove the 4 bolts using a 10mm socket.
One of the bottom bolts was tough to get to, so I used a wire cutter to snip the plastic clips (two or three of them) that were holding a wire bundle. Once I clipped and moved the wire bundle, it was much easier to remove the bolt.
One of the bolts secures the ground wire. Make sure to note that, as you will need to reconnect that during the install.
Once the four bolts are removed, the motor is still attached to the wiper bar by a ball and socket type joint. Move the wiper blades with your hand (slide them back and forth) until the this connection is centered in the whole of the firewall. When it is, you can use a flat screwdriver to pry the ball out of the socket.
Don't worry about the wiper bar falling. You can reach in with your finger and pull it out.
That should remove the motor.
To install a new motor, you will need to remove the rubber grommit from the four bolt locations. The easiest way I found to do this was to carefully squeeze the removed unit in a vice and put a screwdriver through the hole of each grommit and wriggle it out of the motor housing. It takes quite a bit of pressure, but I was able to remove them without breaking anything or ripping the rubber grommits.
I installed the grommits on the new unit the same way. You will also need the rubber cup from the old ball joint. That was easy to remove and slip onto the new unit.
To install, reverse the process. Don't forget to hook up the ground wire.
Good luck!
