Left the rear hatch and remove the headliner trim and headliner ( Partially). Unplug the brake light wire that leads to the light housing. Loosen 2 screws below the light and remove carefully.
shoot it with a gun and brake it with an axe and remove it by your hand
to remove the headliner, start with the windshield plastic covers on front sides, then door rubbers, then seat belt plastic covers, everything snaps in, unscrew the visors, pop out the interior light, unscrew, pry out two buttons in rear headliner, and it should be down, you must remove it through the back door...goodluck
The headliner on a 1993 Honda Civic comes off by remove the mounting clips which hold it to the rood as well as all the plastic pillars. With the plastic pillars off remove the remaining light accessories, mirror, sun visors, and mounting screws.
Remove the pillar covers on the left and right. Remove the sun visors. Remove the roof center console if it is there or just remove the dome light. Remove the clothes hooks in the rear seat area. Remove the plastic strip just fwd of the rear hatch, at the top. If you have T tops, remove them. Now the headliner should come down. Be careful, it is just made of pressed fiberglass and crumbles easily.
Errrr, there isn't a light on the vanity mirror.Check again.....
Remove the flip down mirrors, the dome light, and the plastic moldings around the door (If you want to be able to reuse it). Then simply pull carefully it is hooked by corkboard and glue strips. Once its out you can carefully remove it through either door for reuse or simply fold it in half. All pieces removed will go back in without a new headliner for common use until you get one.
through the trunk, open trunk, then look where break lights are, on the door of trunk, top, there are several screws across the top, remove them, then you have access to bulbs. My 2005 Amanti has a post card size "door" on both sides inside the trunk, behind the tail lights. Simple wing nut and remove to get access to all bulbs. very easy.
1. Remove the interior weatherstrips around the doors. These just pull straight down. 2. Remove the sunvisors and disconnect the power cord for the lights. 3. Remove the interior light -- this just pulls straight out with no screws. 4. Remove the rear seat bottom -- pull the little rings at the front bottom of the seat and lift the front of the seat up and out. 5. Remove the panels to the sides of the rear seat that cover the rear speakers. 6. Remove the rear headliner trim -- this is a plastic panel between the headliner and the hatch lid. Pull this straight back toward the rear of the car and be careful -- you will likely break the inside plastic anyway and this part isn't available anywhere. You might have to reattach this with screws or something after you're done. 7. Look for little plastic plugs on tabs at the edge of the headliner. Use a tool to remove these (a door panel puller with a forked end works great on this, but you could probably use a screwdriver). 8. Remove the headliner through the hatch opening.
Put the dome light switch on door located on the headliner to the side of the light
courtesy light or dome light(small interior light located on headliner) inside of car ,will come on when door is open
1. Remove all the interior pillar trim by pulling it out. 2. Remove the visors and mounts 3. Remove the rearview mirror. It's spring mounted pull down hard or use a wide blade to pry it down. 4.Remove the pannel next to the mirror. There are two hidden release clips on the windshield side. That side will drop down then slide it forward. 5. Remove the rear dome light and slide the headliner locking clip toward the front 6. Remove the moon roof glass. Six screws behind the bellows covers. I can't remember if you have to remove the rails or not. 7. Have someone pull the headliner toward the windshield while gently prying the headliner where it wraps around the rear of the moon roof opening. That's actually one long clip over the metal edge. 8. Now if you need to actually get it out of the car you may have to remove the front passenger side seat and door and fullyrecline the driver seat to angle it out towards the front of the car
