Error code 3 on a Mitsubishi CD player means that the track is out of line. It is possible that a CD broke inside the player that caused the track to jam up. Either way, the CD player will have to be replaced.
See page 3 or 4 of this list and you will find how to remove an old factory radio from a 95.
There could be many reasons. But the ones I am familiar with are: If you get an error displayed, try one of the CD cleaners that has a brush on the CD to clean the lens. If there is no power, check the fuse. You will have to find the correct fuse in the owner's manual. If it is only temporary or intermittent: 1. When a warm CD gets fogged up in cold weather. 2. When there is dirt or scratches on the CD. 3. When a user-created CDR or CDR/W CD is used that is not compatiable. other than that, you will have to take it Mazda.
tip lemon juice on it innit

To remove the shift knob on a '95 Mazda MX-3 just twist the knob itself counter clockwise until it comes off!
try a CD player cleaner. it comes in the form of a CD with brushes on the disc to clean the laser. if that fails, there may be a problem with your CD player.
1. Put the CD in to your computer . 2. Start the game . 3. Remove the CD from your computer . 4. You're now playing without a CD .
1. Remove the trim around the radio. This will be the whole dash trim on the driver's side. 2. Remove 3 x 7mm screws that are holding the radio in place. 3. Unhook the 3 connections (2 x wiring harness and 1 x satellite cable).
You have to remove the player from the dash (disconnect neg. battery cable first). Disassemble it and manually push out the discs. My CD's were jammed and I had to do this. I also noticed that a gear which moves the CD holders had broken teeth. I'm still trying to find a replacement gear. HERE'S A TRICK I FIGURED OUT: Take another CD. Go to the slot the CD is jammed in (Disc 3, 4 whatever)...MAKE SURE YOU HOLD THE CD TIGHTLY. Put the new CD in, but don't actually insert it in all the way. When the CD player tries to "pull it in," pull the CD out quickly. The "jammed" CD will spit out if you try this several times, usually. Certain CDs don't agree with the Volvo CD player (at least mine), and I am not sure why.
I would try this: 1. Copy the files from the CD that you would want to put in the CD-ROM 2. Remove the CD and insert the CD-ROM 3. Move the files To the CD-ROM Easy as 1,2,3! :)
