This type of question leaves me wondering if the person asking it actually knows what plug wires are! There seems to have been quite a few questions with rather obvious answers recently! Assuming you already have the new set of wires, you remove the old ones, one at a time and replace each with a new one of the same or nearly the same length, before moving on to the next one. One end goes onto the spark plug and one into the distributor cap, like for like. It's so easy, a 10-year old could do it!

it has to be the distributor cap or rotor or wires...plug wires.
driver side, underneath those spark plugs wires you should see a orange plug, pull it out all the way.

This one really sucks. You have to purchase a new set of wires for your protege, and Mazda makes this really expensive.($210.00) Nology makes a really good set that you can order on the internet. It is a special set up since Mazda uses a coil on plug system.
if its a single overhead cam engine it has spark plug wires and dohc engine has coil packs
find the wires and do one at a time as too not cross wires with different plugs
call me 5 dollars each
no special order just one at a time
Plug all the wires up right and it should work
