It will be assumed that what is actually being asked about is the failure of the interior lights to come on when one or both doors are opened.
First: Check the bulb(s) to make sure they are not burnt out.
Second: These lights can be controlled by a switch, located on the light housing, which is capable of disabling the lights so that they don't illuminate when the door is open. Check to make sure this switch is in the proper position.
Third: Check the fuse which protects the interior light circuit. It is located in the fuse panel under the left edge of the dash. Replace fuse if necessary.
Fourth: If this occurs on only one of the doors, it is possible that the activation switch located in the door jamb may be faulty and need replacement.
