Disconnecting the odometer, vin, title, or any other identifying automobile information is not only illegal, it is dishonest. I do not advise falsifying the odometer for any reason whatsoever. One more piece of information, many odometers in late model vehicles are computer controlled, so unless you are a computer scientist, you will not be able to crack the factory computer to alter this parameter.

Although, removing the "meter" fuse will disable your odometer and speedometer....
