on a lot of vehicles there is a restricter in line, much like on a fuel guage. You dont see your fuel guage move all around when your tank sloshes. I dont know where to find it but it may be your problem
yes you can.
You could possibly have some common wiring or computer problems that affect the tach and transmission. Run a code check on the computer to see if any problems. show up.
Have it checked for codes, the code will tell you what to diagnose.
It depends on the year and options. Which year model are you asking about? On the 1996-2000 cluster, there's a light between the tach and speedometer for the cruise control (if equipped).
Contact the manufacturer and request an Owner's manual with installation instructions.
Yes, the cluster assembly is failing.
theirs a green wire by distributer that is for the tach
if the tach is fluxuating and the engine "is not". check on my bio page i have answered an simullar question on tachs its the question listed right below yours on the list...................all the best...................buddy mack
ignition module It's possible that the CDI module went bad. If the car has a tachometer built in to the dash you can use that to make a simple check. Crank the engine while watching the tach. Does the needle on the tach bounce slightly when cranking or does it stay still? If the tach needle doesn't move the CDI module is dead. If the tach needle does move the problem is somewhere else.
IF you have the installation instructions for the tach, it prolly tells you where to attach the tach wire. If not, call the manu. of the tach or search for their website online.
