Manual trans fluid is checked by removing the fill plug located on the transmission on the driver's side. it is a 1/2" breaker bar type plug. removed it and a little fluid may drip out. if so, it's full. i would recommend changing it to redline mt-90 or royal purple max gear. both will extend the life of the trans, greatly improve shifting, and help out with gas mileage. the drain plug is on the other side of the trans and is the same size plug. fill it back up at at the fill plug opening. use a long hose attached to a funnel, a pump, or use the bottles to squeeze it in (this is messy as you can only get about half the bottle in per attempt due to angle problems).
