follow the top radiator hose to intake,its inside the thermostat cover,two bolts.
I have a 1997 Nissan 2wd pickup with an automatic transmission and 4 cylinder. The thermostat is located on the lower radiator hose under the power steering pump.
On my 95 pickup with 4 cylinder engine, the thermostat is located where the lower radiator hose enters the engine block. Hope this helps.

A diagram of the thermostat location on a 96 Nissan pickup can be gotten from the Nissan dealership. It can also be purchased from most auto parts stores.

Almost all car regardless of make or model the thermostat is located where the top radiator hose meets the motor. Either in the intake or the front of the block

To replace the thermostat on a 1987 Nissan pickup, drain the radiator. Locate the thermostat which is under the top hose assembly, and remove the screws holding it in place. Put the new one in position and refill the radiator.
