Open the 2001 Subaru engine compartment hood. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the headlight. Remove the headlight assembly bolts. The headlight will come out. Reverse the process to install the new headlight.
Look in the manual.
See "Headlight" on page 51 of chapter 11 "Maintenance and Service" in your "OWNER'S MANUAL.....
not sure
unscrew the entire headlight from the frame
Did you ever find out how to change the headlight assembly? If so, please let me know how to do it :)
Sorry, but it won't. Subaru's changed their headlight shape every 3 years or so. They made a change around April 1997, so the one's before that are different from the ones after.
The headlight relay in a Subaru Loyale should be behind the instrument panel.
You have to take the whole headlight out!!! Not joking! I couldn't believe it when i changed mine this morning!!!!
How does the clip go on to hold the bulb in place? I can't see all of the bulb holder.
Pop the hood there is a bulb behind the headlight you need to twist it out counter clock wise and pull out, on my subaru i have to pull out battery to get to driver headlight, other then that if nothing is on the way is just get hold of it untwist and when putting new one in make sure not to touch the glass part of the bulb reduces the lifetime of the bulb.
If the passenger side headlight on a 2001 Chevy Impala is dim, it may be time to change the bulb, or there is a problem with the wiring on that side.
You are wondering how to change a, I mean remove a rubber boot on a Subaru Impreza Headlight. Well You came to the right person or Internet I shall say. It would be Under the Headlight Housing Near the Inset of the Headlight And you would just snap it out by putting your finger near the edge of it and snap it out of place. Then you would see you can disconnect the whole headlight with the bulb and it would be easier. Thank you, Misa Pang.
