1. Open the hood. 2. Remove the headlamp connector by a straight pull, rocking if necessary. (The connector may have a locking tab, which has to be depressed.) 3. Pulling on one of the tabs on the large (hockey-puck sized) rubber seal that surrounds the connector and lamp, stretch the seal slitghtly so it can release from the groove that holds it in place. Pull the seal off the headlamp housing. 4. Depress the end of the spring-wire and move it out of the catch. 5. The lamp is now free. 6. Reverse the procedure with the new lamp, USING CARE NOT TO TOUCH THE GLASS. Oil from your finger will destroy the lamp as it operates at high temperature.
Opened the 1998 Toyota Camry hood compartment. Take hold of the light bulb connector. Push the connector in and turn at the same time. The light bulb will come out. Reverse the process to install the new light bulb.

You cant just change the bulb, you have to change the whole headlamp.
