check your clutch and brake fluid
You must open the hatch, remove the plastic strips then you must unbolt the tail lamp assembly and remove the bulb.
Perhaps brake lights? Check the stoplight switch at the upper end of the brake pedal under dash area

Inside the trunk behind where the brake lights are are a plastic cover. Remove that and you will see one bolt. Reach in to the far side of the light and you will find the second bolt. Remove those and the brake lights can be pulled out. Now just twist the bulb holders and there are your brake light bulbs.
The minimum brake rotor thickness for a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse is 1.17 inches. When it falls below this thickness, braking performance will suffer and must be replaced.
