it will fit but you need to convert it to a cable clutch because the 98's are hydraulic
Does a 1998 Honda prelude have a clutch cable
Your clutch cable snapped. It should be an easy fix.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I would say ( no ) It is a hydraulic clutch on a 1998 Ford Escort The BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR is also the CLUTCH FLUID RESERVOIR
Can adjust a self adjusting cable
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Disconnect the clutch mechanism. Place the car on a jack and remove the engine mounts. Remove the clutch disk along with the other parts. Replace it with a new one.
Run car at idle and press / depress clutch. If RPMsfluctuate it's hydraulic.
I have replaced the the clutch cable on my '95 200sx 1.6L and it was easy. To adjust the cable go to the end of the cable where it conects to the level looking clutch arm in the engine compartment and look at where the clutch cable connects to the lever. Securing the cable on the backside of the lever there is a washer and screw that you can tighten or loosen to engage the clutch without pushing it all the way to the floor or you can adjust the other way to get the opposite affect. After I installed my clutch cable I had to go back about a week later and adjust the clutch (tighten the cable) because it appeared the cable had stretch a little from brand new to broken in condition. Hope this helps...
Integra Air was created in 1998.
How do you change a Master Cylinder and hydraulic clutch line for a 1998 Chevy S10?
Yes you just need to change the headlights and bumper lights along with the bumper
the cluth cable is attached to the very top and back side of the clutch pedal by a small hook. Simply slide the hook end of the new cable to it. the other end goes through the firewall located by the stering colume. Attach the other end of the cable w/ the adjustible threaded side to the release lever located on the transmission housing top side. Tighten down the cable w/ a 10mm wrench until the cable is tight anbd your done
