Yes
6-speed manual.
I have a 2001 sporster. I usually shift at or alittle above 3000 rpm. Any thing lower puts my rpm at or under 2000 in the next higher gear, which makes my engine labor. I use my tac to shift and have never noticed the mph.
You can't shift gears on an automatic transmission because, as it is called, it's automatic! You don't need to shift, it does it for you. == == Maybe the question should be "Why is my automatic transmission not shifting through gears for me as it should?" Could it be a fairly simlpe fix or am I losing my transmission? Yeah Dopey!
Have you ever had the linkage adjusted? 90% chance this is the problem.
In 2000, the 5.3L only came with an automatic transmission, and the automatics then only had 4 gears.
try adding trans fluid
there is no Chevy town and country. its a Chrysler.
My check engine light came on in my 2000 Ford zx2...It gave that code and said shift solenoid A. I did a little research and found out shift solenoids are only in automatic transmissions. They're like a chip that tells the transmission when to shift gears. So if your car is hesitating between gears, the solenoid may need replaced or there could just be a problem with one of the wires.
Count how many time it shifts gears. If it shifts 3 times it is 4 speed or 2 times it is a 3 speed.
Ive hit 125 mph no problem
It has six gears.
