Both the 2.2 liter 4 cylinder and the 3.0 liter V6 engines used in a 2001 Toyota Solara have a timing BELT
According to the Gates website : The 2001 Toyota Solara 2.2 liter 4 cylinder : Has a timing BELT, it is NOT an interference engine , change the belt at 90,000 miles
The v6 Toyota solara has a timing belt. Their 4 cyl engines have timing chains.
The V6 has a cam timing belt. Check the maintenance schedule for the car and you'll find the belt is scheduled for replacement at 90,000 miles. BTW the 4-cylinder Solara has a timing chain, no maintenance needed.
Never. Its a chain on the 2003...not a belt. I'm not aware of a specific interval for the metal chain
The 4 cylinder has a timing chain that does not require replacement and is designed to last the life of the engine.
The 2.4 liter four cylinder in a 2004 Toyota Camry has a timing CHAIN
The 2.7 liter four cylinder engine in a 2007 Toyota Tacoma has a timing CHAIN
Timing chain.
I checked the Gates website ( they make timing belts etc. ) The 2.4 liter 4 cylinder must have a timing CHAIN because they don't list a timing belt , but the 3.0 liter V6 has a timing BELT listed
The 2006 Toyota RAV4 4cyl has a timing chain.
no the 4-cylinder model has a timing chain
