Castings will have advantage over forg-ings for three conditions is met:
castings: metal that has been melted, poured into a mold and solidified. In the casting process at the foundry, because the mold has the shape of the desired component, all that remains to be done after casting are the various finishing operations.
forgings, the first shape is an ingot or continuously cast billet. Ingots are large, usually rectangular in form and weigh up to several tons. Ingots or continuously cast billets are forged into shapes by hammers or presses. Extensive machining to final configuration usually is required, and welding also may be necessary before finishing operations can begin.
Forging
casting is that in which the metal melts in liquid form by heating and drawn in the mould. after some time it takes a shape of mould. forging is that in which the metal heated (at that point in which it is in a solid form) and took the shape by hammering, punching, pressing etc.
casting
forging is shaped the metal by press from the hammer or press machine. casting is shaped the metal when the metal become liquidity. forgings have better quality and strengh than castings.
Cold forging , hot forging ,dropforging and metalforming
Welding, moulding, forging, extrusion, milling and casting
Type your answer here... Extrusion is the open die punching process whether forging is close die punching process.
extrusion is different from forging. Idhu eppadi
Clevis Pin is a type of pin made out of steel per "as casting" or "as forging" process.
the colour of pattern may not be the same as that of casting, sharp changes are not provided on patterns but it provided on casting with the help of machining, the material of the pattern is not necessarily same as that of casting.
casting calls could be a scam and their looking for a cast and auditon is wat u do to get a part
what is the different between error of transposition and casting
