Yes the rear end differential can be changed if the ring and pinion are worn and need to be replaced.I will not elaborate on the specifics however the cost is expensive even used and having this done properly is a must!The b2200 is fairly common however Mazda NO longer makes the rear end components so your choices are either used,online, for swapping.I suggest mazdapartscenter.com for original parts NEW,unless you have other plans.Hope this helps.I just had my rear diff replaced due to broken teeth on the final gear and spider gears(ring and pinion) after 23 yrs of ownership since new.
