I bought a new vitara in 1988 and almost nothing every went wrong with it, through to now, that's 20 years later. I had to change the clutch once and of course the battery, tyres etc a few times. That's in 235000 kilometres. I don't want to sell it now, it starts like brand new every time, but I bought a grand vitara XL-7, and have too many cars and bikes now.
Suzuki is bloody fantastic. If you don't want trouble and grief and costs in motoring, I don't think any other manufacturer is as good.... period. +++++ Different Owner +++++++ I have a 2001 Grand Vitera XL7 and I've never had to do anything but regular maintanence. Since I drive for work and my Suzuki was up to 130K+ miles, I purchased a 2008 Toyota RAV4 last summer. I HATE the new RAV compared to my old Suzuki!
Suzuki is the second most reliable make of car in the UK.
No, not at all. David Suzuki is a Japanese Canadian environmentalist and is in no way connected to Suzuki Cars.

Suzuki does make several cars considered safe and reliable for the family. The Suzuki Wagon R + 1.3 Automatic5 has been reviewed by experts and drivers alike, and has been found to be one of Suzuki’s top rated family vehicles. In Addition, three other vehicles are endorsed by the public, and Consumer Reports, as great family cars; Suzuki Baleno 1.6 Estate 1.63, Suzuki Liana 1.6 GL 5dr2, and Suzuki Swift 1.3. Carmax is very reliable and many cars have been sold by them. This company is highly recommended and their used cars are very reliable and up to date.
