I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer and I love it! If you like to street race its defanetly a WINNER and if you want something that is easy on the wallet, well it gets great gas mileage too. I do not regret getting mine, it has one of the most get-up and go's I have ever seen in a car from that year and that body style.
No.
Mitsubishi Evos are considered more desirable than the Mitsubishi Lancer in 2013. However, Evolutions are much more expensive than the Lancers, and Lancers are owned by more people. They have similar MPG and performance, but the Evo is more of a Luxury car, while the Lancer is more of a standard racing type car.

You can purchase new Mitsubishi Evo Cars directly through the Mitsubishi manufacturer. And you can also find the Evo cars through used car lots that carry the Mitsubishi brand.
It might depend on the country, in japan they also came in 4WD.
