i have a 97 lumina the tranny slips form 2 to 3rd or when you try to go faster is there bands that can just be adjusted???????? or if the tranny going out
Tranny cooler? sounds like bs to me. But the kickdown is something this car has a problem with. I recommend going to multiple mechanics and ask for a quote.
Drive on a 1999 Honda Civic transmission is labeled as D4. D2 is made specifically for lower gears and to help in situations where going slower can help maneuver the vehicle.
14 quarts and no
With an automatic tranny, its difficult for it to just go out. Chances are you'll loose a gear or two. But if it were to just go out, you would loose the energy going to the wheels. The engine will still run, but you'll just coast no matter what you do.
There's not enough room here to answer your question. This is no job for a novice mechanic. You're going to need specialized tools and experience. Take it to a tranny shop.
Pump in tranny going bad......dealing with it now
If you have an automatic tranny, and the fluid is low, it may not gear down on the hills and may possibly stall. Check this out first.
it sounds like the tranny reverse is gone and you have to replace the entire tranny

No, but if you change the bracket that the tranny bolts to it will its going to cost about 1500 for everything you got to change the flywheel and possible the motor mounts because the tranny is bigger from 94 than 88 but if you got money go for best bet is to go to summit and buy a aftermarket tranny for about 950 ok i hope i helped
tranny is going out, will be replacing it shortly.
