The Solara center console simply snaps out, no screws. I've done it many times (to install things) with my '04.
It'll help if you move your shift selector to drive to remove the under dash storage fascia. open the door and grab near the bottom then pull toward the rear of the car. The piece will pop free. Reach behind to disconnect wiring or simply move the assembly over toward the passenger floor to get it out of the way.
If you want to access the shifter/center console area it's the same thing. First, remove the shift knob (it unscrews). Pull up from the front (where you just removed the center piece) and as the part lifts keep moving toward the rear. Lift the console over the shift lever and parking brake lever (it'll help if you apply the brake) and set aside.
It probably takes longer to read the instructions than to remove the parts.
Cheers
I believe the Solara is the same as the Camry. You have to remove part of the center console to access the adjustment.
Depends on the model year. Also, are you trying to remove the dash with the instrument cluster, or the center console with the HVAC and radio?

The Toyota Solara is no longer in production. It was discontinued in June 2009.
There is a 12 volt female accessory port (or two depending on year/model). My '04 Solara has two, one in the center dash and another in the center console storage area. You can use either one for a cigarette lighter. You can purchase the lighter at any auto supply store. One little rub, on the '04 and later (not sure about the gen I Solara) there's no ashtray. You could use the cup-holder (drop in a cup). It'd be a lot less hassle just to stop smoking. ;) Cheers
The answer is yes...and no. Reaching the cabin section of the antenna cable is pretty simple but you do have to remove two sections of the center console. Don't panic, no tools needed. You'll find a 'how to' on this page: http://www.gadgetjq.com//solara/audio_aux.htm You'll notice the center console top cover and the storage area simply lift out, no muss no fuss. Once they're out of the way you can reach around behind your radio/nav unit and locate the antenna cable. Cheers
No, it does not.
