If it's your first time going to the ruins, then grab onto the whale shark by pressing A B and allow it to pull you to the ruins. If you are returning to the ruins, place your ship at the Mo'ia Atoll and then dive. It should tell you you're in the Mo'ia Atoll. Turn until you see a huge rock that separates to where you can swim through it. Hope this helps!
You need to complete the tutorial first Or... like when your trying to find the Orca you have to have 90% of the map searched and or completed. You can not acually get INTO the open ocean but to mark that area off on your map, you just go around the border,COMPLETELY. The border looks like a bunch of x's in a waved postiton. P.S. If you need help finding the Orca just ask me!;D (Just since i mencioned it) ~Jakson149~
