Double the cost of the tile to get the cost of the rest of the materials. You have a shower pan to set, walls to waterproof, and lots of extra things to do.
You also have to add in the cost of the fittings like shower head(s), faucet handles, steam shower, glass doors, etc.
And then there's labor. It takes a lot of skill to do this and it's hard work. It's not usual to spend $3000 in labor alone for a large shower.
We spent $6K in labor to have a garden tub removed and the shower put in. Redoing the Plumbing was nearly $1K, including a handheld shower and diverter. Tile was about another $600. For a tile surround for a tub, the cost was $2K labor, $150 for plumbing and about $300 in tile. We did have another few hundred to fix other issues with the showers, so you might factor in extra. This was in Tucson, AZ.
