Woven or Knit Materials
Spinning or twisting, looping or knotting fibres together gives material added strength. A loom is used to weave two or more pieces of yarn together in a criss-cross pattern to make cloth. Pressing, gluing, melting and dissolving are also ways to combine materials to gain strength.
The jersey textile is nothing but the Knitted textiles.Textiles can also be knitted and it is of different types such as single jersey, double jersey etc,. The knitted material is got by formation of loops. It uses various types of needles for the formation of loop.
A traditional jersey is either hand-knitted from wool (from a sheep), or is less traditionally machine knitted using either wool or a wool/acrylic mixture.
Organic cotton is the material that fabric will be made of. The fabric will be created by either weaving or knitting the cotton.

Polyester fleece (polar fleece) is knitted. It is made in a similar way to sweatshirt material. Sweatshirt material has what is called a 'floating yarn' on one side (fleecy has these yarns on both sides), which is a yarn that only loops through the fabric infrequently so it creates loops. This side can be un-brushed (with one side like terry-towel) or it can be brushed (fuzzy on one side). This brushing technique is what makes polyester fleece so fuzzy.
