How to remove the starter in a 1995 Geo Tracker?

remove the screws under the air conditioning vents and on the sides ther is also one hidden underneath the color strip for hot and cold so remove it carefully and the dash will come off exposing the four screws that mount the radio

Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal. Detach electical connections from alternator. Lossen alternator adjustment and pivot bolts and detach drivebelt. Remove bolts and separate alternator from engine. open the ash tray. do not remove it. Get your fingers under the panel and pull on it. You can also use a flathead screwdriver to lever it. It may be hard to come off, as it is held down by clips, but once they are released, it should be easy.

Remove any connections to the panel (AC, hazard light, etc) and put it aside.

You will see four screws holding the radio. Unscrew them, and pull the radio out.

Disconnect the antenna and the stock wiring harness, and you're done!
