How to change a Peugeot 407 brake light bulb?

Insert a torx 10 screwdriver in the outer hole of the lens. Push it towards the outside to unclip it. slightly bend the screwdriver in the opposite direction will make it pop off easily. Replacing the bulbs and refitting the lens is very easy.

You get to the lamp unit from the inside of the car (the boot).

Remove the trim panel in the boot to expose the lamp unit.

The Black plastic lamp unit clips into place on the main housing - this whole panel removes (the panel contains all of the bulbs, including brake lights).

This is tricky to remove (to say the least), there's No screws to undo, it is just a case of folding back all of the plastic clips/lugs around the black panel that hold it in place. You may struggle to find/see all of these, unclip a couple then give the unit a wobble to see which ones are still holding it - be prepared to hurt your fingertips!

When all clips are released, the panel will fall, and you can change any of the bulbs (these bulbs are push & turn fitting)

I watched a side light (parking light) being replaced. The bulb holder is just pulled out from it's housing, the bulb replaced, and the unit pushed back into place. It is reached from inside the bonnet.

There should be a cover which unclips, in there you should have some simple clips to remove the lights and fitting.

The switch lies over the brake pedal in the drivers well. The switch just pushes out. It is an easy repair but very difficult place to get your head in.
