I was given a Fister Rossman Model 35 for my 21st birthday by my parents in 1972. I believe it cost them a lot of money in those times. I still have it and use it regularly....its a good old faithful workhorse. I have made wedding dresses and loose covers for chairs and chestrfield plus numerous sets of curtains in its lifetime.
I found this information from a second hand sewing machine dealer in New Zealand.
Manufactured by Maruzen of Japan they were sold in the early 1980s in NZ as a Globe 877 and in England as a Frister and Rossmann 904. According to world sewing machine expert Alex Askaroff, "The Japanese Frister's of the 1980's are still held as some of the finest sewing machines ever produced....the 900 series still produce unbeatable quality when sewing well." - and this one is fully serviced and sewing beautifully.
