1. Place a sheet of Shrinky Dinks over a dsign with the rough side up. Trace the design including the thin cut line around the edge. When tracing letters, draw your own cut line approx. 1/4 inch away from the letters.

2. Color and decorate your artwork with the colored pencils. Be sure to stay only on the rough side of the Shrinky Dinks.

3. Ask and adult to help with this step. Cut out your colored design from the Shrinky Dinks sheet following the traced cut line. Be sure the edges are smooth. Do not leave any sharp corners or they will become very pointy when you skrink the art. Use a hole punch if you want to make a keychain.

4. ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED FOR BAKING. Pre-heat your kitchen oven or toaster oven to 325F. DO NOT MICROWAVE. Place your creation onto a non-stick cookie sheet with the colored side up. Place in oven and WATCH the baking process. It takes 1-5 minutes depending on the thickness of the cookie sheet. Piece will curl and then flatten out. Bake another 30 seconds then remove from heat. Let cookie tray and art cool for 3 minutes.

What is better Crayola or Rose Art?

It's reasonable to say that Rose Art is more preferable when it comes to crayons. Crayola is good too, but when you mark it feels rough, the mark looks clumpy. Rose Art has a better feeling when you use it. Plus when you use Crayola crayons for about an hour, they start to smell.
