Sears website for free manuals is managemylife.com. I checked and your manual is available there to download. Go to the site and click on manuals and then enter your serial number 15814001 (without the space) in the search box and click on search. Your manual will show up and you can download it. Threading instructions and much more are in the manual.

Threading old machines is basically the same. On the top (or top back) is a spool receptacle. This is usually a metal rod sticking up from the body of the machine. Place the spool of thread there and pull out about two feet of thread from the spool. There should be a metal loop on the body of the machine or even two, one on the center front and one at the top of the arm opening. Put your thread through these loops first in the order they appear on the machine from right to left. Now we go down to the tension regulator...the little wheel with the numbers on it. The thread goes between the two plates and up to the arm that goes up and down. Thread through the hole in that arm and then hunt for the metal loop at the front of the needle replacement nut. That's the place where there's a little screw nut that holds the needle in place. Then finally, through the needle itself. Always thread from right to left, and keep the thread from tangling on itself. If you look at the machine, there should be one thread going all the way around without any kinks or loops.

Sears makes sears Kenmore grills Although Kenmore is a Sears branded name Sears doesn't really make anything. For years their appliances were made by Whirlpool and may still be manufactured by them. It would be nice to know who actually makes the Kenmore grills. It is highly unlikely that Sears manufactures them!
