The back seats are easy to remove, you have to lift up on the bottom cushion where there is two clips. On the back cushion there is bolts at the bottom and behind the headrests. Behind the headrests there two holes for removing the bolts, then lift straight up.

This is a 2004 accent.

#1 Take the back rest portions of the seat out first. Fold the seat down, then undo the 12mm bolt on each side of split seats (4 bolts, 2 for each portion.)

#2 12mm bolt holds the back of the lower seat in (2 bolts). Unscrew these.

#3 There are 2 small plastic things poking out under the front of the the lower seat cushion. Push on them and pull the seat up and out.

I just did it!

for the seat cushion, use a crow bar or something to give you leverage and place it between where the back seat cushion& the carpet meets (try to position the crowbar so that it's aligned with the center of the driver/passenger seat). lift until the tongue disengages from the groove.***for the backrest, use an 11/16 socket to losen the two nuts that hold the backrest bracket. Once removed, lift the backrest straight up (be careful not to rip the back of the seat cushion. Installation is the exact opposite.

To remove a fixed rear seat on a 2001 Grand Am, you need to remove the two bolts in the lower portion of the seat back. Grab the bottom of the seat back and lift to disengage the clips that secure the upper part of the seat. Finally, move the passenger and driver seat belts behind the seat and remove the seat from the vehicle. If you have a split folding rear seat, you need to open the truck and pull the left and right straps to unlock the seat backs. Fold them down and undo the small hook latch from the pivot bolt. Lift the seat to clear the pivot bolt from the latch. Finally, pull seat toward the center of the car to disengage the outer pivot bolt and remove seat from vehicle.

Pull straight up on the bottom half. The bottom portion will pop out. It is held in by pins. That will reveal 3 bolts to for the top. Remove those and pull straight up. Top is now removed.
